Woman's day



First day of Góa is know in Iceland as woman's day or wives’day. The husband were supposed to be particularly attentive to their wives on the first day of Góa. Some would arrange to present their wives with cake or coffee. In recent times, Woman's day has become an occasion for husbands to present there wives with flowers. This custom was originally suggested by flower-growers in the 1950s and has acquired widespread popularity.

To day some men look at woman's day more in more widely context and are not only good to there wifes but also daughter, mothers, and all other women.

Woman's day are always on Sunday between 18 and 24 of February.
